Our 1965
Corvette
This is our 1965 Corvette Coupe that we purchased in March 2004.
Barry has wanted to have a Corvette since he was 12 years old so
this is a dream come true for him, The color of the car is Milano
Maroon with a black leather interior and comes optioned with the
327ci/365hp motor, factory side pipes, teak steering wheel, and
am/fm radio.
When we purchased the car, it had approx. 500 miles on it after a
four year body-off restoration. The only part of the car that had
not been completely restored or replaced was the paint job that was
in very good condition and approx. 12-15 years old and was in the
original factory lacquer type paint.
We have been making some improvements in the car since we got her
including sending her out for a complete new paint job, having the
leather seats redone, refinishing most of the interior trim molding
panels and headliner, and a complete freshening up of the motor and
engine bay.
Linda and I love to take the car for drives and just enjoy it for
what it was built for - DRIVING. We also enjoy going to various car
shows with it and participating in activities and events with our
local Corvette Club http://www.vetteclub.org
